The 2009 Tevis Endurance 100 Ride was held August 1, 2009, after a one year rest because of fires in the area last year. Sarah Engsberg of Fairburn, Ga., won the 54th annual historic ride. The 100 mile course left Robie Park near Truckee, Ca., at 5:15am Saturday morning and Engsberg finished about seventeen hours later in Auburn riding K-Zar Emmanuel. It was a first try at Tevis for Engsberg.
