The second round of the 2009 AMA/USA National Speedway Championship was held at Fast Friday's July 10 in Auburn Ca. Greg Hancock came out on top as he did in the first round on June 6 in Costa Mesa. Hancock interupted his European race schedule to compete and is looking toward winning his eighth national championship, something no other American rider has ever done. Hancock is now tied with Auburn's Mike Bast with seven each. Billy Janniro is looking to defend his 2008 title and repeat as the 2009 champion.
